GOOD MORNING, KUYA! airs on weekdays from 4:45 am to 9:00 am. This early morning show defines every Filipino’s break of day. Featuring typical scenarios of the Pinoy populace, GMK has earned respect and recognition for its heightened and unmatched public service, an interactive and one-of-a-kind talk show format and of course, relevant and trustworthy news reports. The show pulls together segments that espouse rich, relevant and useful information to inspire, empower and educate viewers.

As with public service, the show has plenty to offer. One of the most credible media personalities in the country, Mr. Daniel Razon is the titular Kuya. And being Mr. Public Service, Kuya Daniel is known for his endeavors in lending a hand to fellowmen in almost every given circumstance. A person who can go exactly where need is needed, Kuya Daniel extends his own hands to offer and give help.

GMK is the earliest program in a day to provide assistance and service to the Filipino public. The show also features a wide range of service-oriented segments that makes GMK a one-stop-shop social service program that’s truly an innovation in Philippine television, all of course, the brainchild of the Tri-Media Whiz, Kuya Daniel.

UNTV PUBLIC SERVICES FEATURED IN GMK!

CLINIC NI KUYA. One of UNTV’s main public service activities, Clinic ni Kuya opens as early as 4:00 am. While news and updates on this free clinic and other UNTV public service thrusts are regularly featured in Good Morning Kuya!, Clinic ni Kuya isn’t just a segment of the show. It is a whole-day free medical service open to the public. Doctors of various fields of specialization come to offer their services and treat patients from all walks of life. Even minor surgeries are conducted everyday. Best of all, indigent patients can avail of these health services - for absolutely free.

LAW CENTER NI KUYA. Likewise, Law Center ni Kuya is also whole-day service to the public which runs from 4:00 am to 12:00 nn. A group of lawyers with varying fields of expertise gives out free legal consultation and prioritizes clients who lack the financial resources to avail of legal service.

AKSYON NI KUYA. The earliest and earnest public service on the airwaves, Aksyon ni Kuya is the core of UNTV’s Public Service. With Kuya’s team on the go 24/7, Aksyon ni Kuya caters to all problems in cooperation with different government offices and NGOs as well. Its hotline and help desk offers assistance to all for urgent aksyon on their questions or queries on the services of public institutions and NGOs.

KILOS NI KUYA. Since UNTV has been encountering clients coming from different areas as far as the Visayas just to avail of its services, Kilos Ni Kuya has, for a long time, been going around the country with its set of dedicated Medical Team, Lawyers and Coordinators that provides all of UNTV’s services in remote areas and to organizations who are deeply in need of service.

JOB FAIR NI KUYA DANIEL. Employers get airtime in GMK to post their job vacancies. GMK also provides them a venue to hire job seekers on-the-spot.

TRANSIENT HOME. Also the first of its kind, the Transient Home is a ground breaking public service of Good Morning, Kuya! and UNTV in cooperation with Bro. Eli Soriano’s Ang Dating Daan. This home is open to all. Our fellowmen who sleep over this overnight refuge are provided with a warm bed, toiletries, dinner and breakfast, medical attention, and a Bible - all free of charge from this one-of-a-kind home that is open to all. Hear stories of impoverished and unfortunate fellows and how Kuya Daniel’s public service has helped them in an unforgettable way.

LIBRENG SAKAY SA BUS. Another first in the Philippines, UNTV has two public buses that give free rides to early commuters bound either north or south along the entire stretch of EDSA everyday. Libreng Sakay features in-bus GMK reporters who report on the services being offered in the buses.

MRT LIBRENG SAKAY. Another first in Philippine TV! Following the pursuit to give free service to the public, UNTV, in cooperation with the Department of Transportation and Communications and Metro Rail Transit Authority, has launched this project to give free train rides to Senior Citizens bound either north or south everyday. MRT Libreng Sakay features GMK correspondents in one Rail Station who directly report on news and updates regarding this free service to our Senior Citizens.

GOOD MORNING, KUYA! NEWS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS SEGMENTS

Hataw Balita is a one-hour-half-straight morning news service of UNTV. Committed to deliver impartial and truthful reporting, Hataw Balita not only delivers the news, but presents it in-depth by interviewing the newsmakers themselves.

Road Watch gives important traffic updates for commuters. Lea Ylagan is the GMK correspondent for this segment.

Join El Kapitan Ka Tony Arevalo in I-Baranggay Mo Na! as he goes around different barangays and solves problems of all kinds. As he has coined, “mula sa nawawalang planggana, hanggang sa nawawalang asawa, I-Barangay mo na!” This part of the show not only educates us on the essentials of the barangay but also features real-life problem solving at the barangay level.

In Human Rights in Action, Kuya Daniel has come up with a segment for discussing one of the most relevant legal issues today, Human Rights. Together with a very credible expert in this field, Former CHR Commissioner, Atty. Wilhelm Soriano, Kuya Daniel informs the public of how one can defend their human rights. The law never sounded this clear-cut and unfussy - this is human rights in action.

In the Pondahan segment, Kuya Daniel, together with other veteran broadcasters Rene Jose, Alan Encarnacion, Dick Sinchongco, Rolly “Lakay” Gonzalo and Jay Sonza, entertains the audience through their light and witty discussions of the most relevant yet serious issues of the day.

In Tamang Lola, Lola Sela Bungangera, the latest addition sa masayang pondahan ni Kuya Daniel, portrays a classic yet very lovable Lola making her way in the market of ideas flowing in the Pondahan. A Lola’s opinion is worthy of ear and brings forth knowledge from a woman of experience.

GOOD MORNING, KUYA! HEALTH SEGMENTS Join host Lyn Perez in Usapang Pangkalusugan as she discusses different health issues, problems and tips for healthy living with friendly and knowledgeable doctors from different fields of expertise.

Unaware of the nutritional content even of the everyday meals and food we have? With food experts as resource persons, Eat-tymology dwells on the nutritional content of the various food we eat everyday. The Easy Cooking segment gives us super tips in choosing the best food ingredients and directions for easy preparations of delicious and nutritious meals, sans the fancy cooking jargon and without worrying about exhausting one’s pockets Reporting live from the marketplace, Market Diva informs televiewers on the range of prices of major commodities. Surely, a great help to family members preparing and planning the day’s menu for the rest of their kin.

BIBLICAL SEGMENTS

More than news and current events, people need to be informed of the Biblical perspective of any matter affecting them. In Biblically Speaking, Bro. Eli Soriano, the only sensible preacher in the world today, being the segment’s host, answers intelligently, with unbeatable logic, every question addressed to him on a wide variety of issues and topics.
