LTO extends validity of registration for plate numbers ending in 1

MANILA, Philippines – Motorists with vehicle plate numbers ending in 1 can rest easy for now as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) extended the validity of their registration until February 15.

The LTO said the grace period is enough for motorists to process their renewal of registration until the new deadline to avoid hassles in the future.

Inquiries on the new registration renewal process including the application for motor vehicle inspection service may be sent to LTO’s email address or through the agency’s Facebook page @ltocdmpao.

The agency can also be reached through hotline number 8822-9064.

Muling magbabalik ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) on wheels sa Parañaque Integrated Terminal exchange sa Sabado, Hulyo 10.

Ang LTO on wheels ay One-Stop Shop ng ahensiya para sa mga nais mag-renew ng rehistro ng kanilang sasakyan.

Maaari ding mag-avail ng iba pang serbisyo ng LTO gaya ng smoke emission testing at third party insurance.

Ayon sa ahensya, minarapat nitong palawigin ang serbisyo ng LTO on wheels upang maiwasan nang pumunta at magsiksikan sa LTO offices ang mga motorista.

Wala namang kailangang pre-registration para sa makapag-avail ng LTO services. Kailangan lamang dalhin ang record ng dating rehistro at ng mismong sasakyan para sa inspeksyon ng road worthiness nito.

LTO extends validity of recently expired driver’s license until September 30

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended until September 30 the validity of student permits and drivers’ licenses that expired this year.

In an advisory, the agency said that the extension is due to the implemented quarantine restrictions amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Student permits, drivers’ licenses and conductors’ licenses (CL) that expired from March 29 to  July 31 will have extended validity.

The LTO added that this will give way for motorists to be able to renew their licenses.

Meanwhile, the LTO also extended the validity of registration for vehicles with plate numbers that end in 6 and 7.

The extended deadline for vehicle plate numbers that end in 6 is on August 31, while the deadline for vehicle plate numbers that end in 7 will be on September 30. AAC

LTO calls out ‘fake news’, clarifies motorcycle law implementation still suspended

MANILA, Philippines—The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has called out the ‘fake news’ circulating online regarding the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act.

According to Department of Transportation (DOTr) Asec. Goddes Hope Libiran, the LTO temporarily suspended the implementation of the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act last August 2020, specifically with regards to driving without a number plate.

The LTO suspended the law while the agency is still in the process of distributing motorcycle plates.

Meanwhile, the LTO said production continues for motorcycle plates. The agency has already distributed around 3,025,628 plates. AAC
