Meralco suspends disconnection activities in MECQ areas until September 7

MANILA, Philippines—The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Tuesday announced that it will suspend disconnection activities in areas under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until September 7.

“In light of the government’s announcement on Saturday morning extending the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) placed on the National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, and Lucena City in Quezon from September 1 to 7, 2021, Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) will likewise suspend disconnection activities in these areas until September 7, 2021,” Meralco said in an advisory.

The electric company also encouraged its customers to reach out, so they can discuss and help clarify their concerns, and even come up with payment terms, if really needed. It assured that it will remain considerate and will assist customers with their concerns.

Customers may reach out to Meralco through its website at www.MERALCO.com.ph, its official social media accounts and the Meralco hotline at 16211. Customers may also send emails to customercare@meralco.com.ph.

Meanwhile, Meralco also assured that it will continue vital operations such as meter reading, bill delivery, and service crews will continue to work around the clock to serve its customers. AAC

 

Singil sa kuryente ng Meralco bababa ngayong Enero

MANILA, Philippines – Magpapatupad ng bawas sa singil sa kuryente ang Manila Electric Company (Meralco) para sa buwan ng Enero.

Ayon sa Meralco, P0.07 kada kilowatt hour (kWh) ang ibababa sa singil sa kuryente.

Katumbas ito ng P15 na bawas sa electric bill ng mga customer na kumukonsumo ng 200kWh kada buwan.

Nasa P24 naman para sa mga gumagamit ng 300kWh, P30 para sa 400kWh, at P37 para sa mga kumukonsumo ng 500kWh.

Ayon sa Meralco, ang bawas singil ay bunsod ng pagbaba ng presyo ng generation charge.

MANILA, Philippines – Muling tataas ang singil sa kuryente ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) ngayong buwan.

Sa abiso ng kumpanya, nasa P0.314 kada kilowatt hour (kWh) ang madaragdag sa singil sa kuryente dahil sa mataas na presyo ng generation charge.

Ibig sabihin, tataas ng P62 ang bill sa kuryente ng mga kumukonsumo ng 200 kWh kada buwan, P93 sa 300 kWh, P134 sa 400 kWh, at P155 sa mga gumagamit ng 500 kWh kada buwan.

Ito na ang ika-siyam na magkakasunod na buwan ng pagpapatupad ng dagdag-singil ng Meralco.

Meralco to implement series of rate increases due to Malampaya shutdown

MANILA, Philippines — Another price rate increase awaits Manila Electric Company (Meralco) consumers this November.

Meralco, in a recent advisory, announced that it will implement a series of rate increases to start this month until March next year.

Meralco said this is due to the 20-day maintenance shutdown of the Malampaya Natural Gas Facility last October.

The rate increase that will be imposed this month is pegged at Php0.32 per kilowatt-hour.

The next increase which is at Php0.13 per kilowatt-hour will be applied from December to March.

Meralco clients consuming up to 200-kilowatt hours per month will have a P65 increase reflected in this month’s bill.

Those who consume 300 and 500-kilowatt hours per month will have Php97 and Php162 increases, respectively. —/mbmf
