MANILA, Philippines — Partido ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan (PDDS) national adviser Butch Belgica is confident presidential aspirant Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go will not back out of the race.

Belgica believes Go will not abandon the party as their standard-bearer in the 2022 national and local polls.

He added that, as support to Go, the party is set to adopt Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio as its vice-presidential bet.

“Basta kami Bong Go-Sara Duterte sa vice president and adopting all PDP-Laban senators and allied groups,” Belgica added.

Go’s camp also said that they are not at all bothered by the move of the four big political parties of forging alliance agreement to support the candidacy of former Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos and Mayor Sara, expressing confidence in its own political alliances. —/mbmf (from the report of UNTV Correspondent Nel Maribojoc)

Mayor Sara Duterte posts several appeals to supporters, media

Maris Federez   •   November 12, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Friday posted on Facebook several appeals to her supporters regarding the upcoming 2022 national and local elections.

Mayor Sara particularly appealed to her supporters and the members of the media who would camp out in front of the Commission on Elections office in Manila.

Duterte reiterated that camping out in front of Comelec is not necessary, considering that there are still the threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the country’s extreme weather conditions.

The local chief executive, meanwhile, lauded her supporters, as well as the members of the media, for their dedication.

Duterte directed the media and her supporters to her social media pages for official statements, photos, and videos on certain issues. The same will also be distributed by her spokesperson. —/mbmf
