Key performers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) are now gearing up for the upcoming benefit concert, Songs for Heroes 2, on June 30 in SM Mall of Asia Arena.

According to P/C Supt. Nestor Quinsay Jr., the director of PNP-Police Community Relations Group (PCRG), the policemen who will join the concert are the winners of the talent competition particularly held for the selection of Songs For Heroes participants a few months ago.

“We have already chosen singers from PNP who won in our contest two months ago,” Quinsay shared.

The PNP-PCRG chief also lauded the concept earlier presented by the award-winning writer and director Floy Quintos for Songs for Heroes 2.

“His storyline is great [as] the concert will show the lives of the soldiers and police,” he remarked.

Moreover, Quinsay said that PNP’s Officer-in-Charge Gen. Leonardo Espina is also excited for the upcoming project involving the organization’s talents.

Quinsay is grateful for the continuous support of Bro. Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon, the progenitors of this endeavor, give. Bro. Eli is the Over-all Servant of Members Church of God International (MCGI) while Razon is the Chairman and CEO of BMPI-UNTV.

“For Bro. Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon, please continue your public service – to our fellowmen, to our police and [soldiers],” he enthused.

“Rest assured that the PNP and AFP will also render service to our countrymen,” he added.

P/S Supt. Ma. Asuncion Placino, PNP-PCRG’s Deputy Director, said that the PNP “is in full support to this very noble project.”

“We are grateful because ‘Songs for Heroes’ will have a sequel. Again, we will showcase the talents of the police,” Placino said in an interview last April during the first meeting of BMPI, PNP and AFP for the new project.
