The signing, which took place on September 10 at the Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, were led by AFP Chief of Staff General Hernando Iriberri and MMC Foundation Chairman Manuel Pangilinan.

According to the AFP, the MOA is “concrete manifestation of the Public-Private Partnerships for Organizational Strengthening” between the two organizations.

The partnership eyes to strengthen the AFP military hospitals’ human resources. The MOA states that this initiative can be done through conferences, training sessions and workshops involving all concerned military hospital management staff.

Under the agreement, both organizations are expected to share knowledge between their health care workers and experts.

Particularly, a pool of experts from the MMC Foundation will be providing assistance to the AFP’s Organizational Strengthening Program, which aims to enhance the skills of the country’s military doctors, nurses as well as health care providers.

Gen. Iriberri said that the help extended by the MMC Foundation for the past years is very significant as the AFP “has been able to access world class medical expertise to boost military health sector.”

“Today, the AFP renews its partnership with Makati Medical Center Foundation because of the good work that has translated to substantial benefits,” he further remarked.
