Members of the Philippine National Police’s Special Action Force (SAF) and Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) have showcased their skills in interoperability during the recently concluded Air to Ground Operations Seminar (AGOS).

The PNP held the closing ceremony of AGOS on October 13 at the Transformation Oval in the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Among those who graced the activity were PNP Chief PDG Ricardo Marquez, and Philippine Air Force’s Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Delgado. They awarded badges and certificates to the participants who are now qualified to perform AGOS missions.

AGOS, which commenced on August 17 of this year, is a series of practicals and seminars that aim to develop the group’s airborne assault tactics. Facilitated by the Mobile Training Teams, it also intends to train troopers as combat air patrollers.

Prior to the closing ceremony, Marquez has already underscored anew the need for more quality trainings on all aspects of policing for the country’s police officers.
Under the helm of Marquez, the PNP is intensifying its efforts to deploy more men on the streets to address criminality, especially in so-called “crime-prone” areas.
