Policemen audition for ‘Songs for Heroes 3’ musical

MANILA, Philippines — Members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) showcased their talent in singing and dancing at the audition for the upcoming musical, Songs for Heroes 3.

It’s been four years since the National Capital Region Police (NCRPO) Fitness Team was first created. Since then, the group has joined various dancing competitions. However, the group said they would be glad to join Songs for Heroes 3.

“This is our contribution to our colleagues who will be the beneficiaries. This would be a big help for their families” NCRPO Fitness Team coach PO1 Neil Zuñiga said.

The policemen are excited and happy to be chosen to participate and perform in the Songs for Heroes 3, a concert dedicated to their colleagues who sacrificed and continue to sacrifice their lives to attain peace in the southern part of the country.

“As a man in uniform, I am happy to take part in helping them.  Actually, this would be my second time participating in this concert. I also participated in the Songs for Heroes 2,”  said PO1 Norman Whileman III.

The PNP expressed gratitude to UNTV for helping injured and fighting policemen in Marawi City.

“The Song for Hereos is a very good program of UNTV, together with the police and soldiers. This is a way to support the families of the cops and soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the war in Marawi City,” PCRG Director PSSupt. Rhodel Sermonia said.

Policemen and soldiers battling terrorists in Marawi City are getting their inspiration from the Filipino people who have openly expressed their support and concern for them. UNTV is organizing Songs for Heroes 3, which will be held on the 31st of October at the Mall of Asia Arena.  – Mon Jocson | UNTV News & Rescue
