{"id":980,"date":"2017-09-27T05:33:37","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T05:33:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/intranet.untvweb.com\/songsforheroes\/?p=980"},"modified":"2017-10-03T05:35:48","modified_gmt":"2017-10-03T05:35:48","slug":"oppap-peace-advocates-to-provide-assistance-to-victims-of-marawi-siege","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/untvweb.com\/songsforheroes\/?p=980","title":{"rendered":"OPPAP peace advocates to provide assistance to victims of Marawi siege"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MANILA, Philippines \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0The local government of Butuan City gave recognition to the peace advocates that represent the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPPAP) at the Guingona Park on September 27.<\/p>\n<p>They are part of the so-called \u201cpeace buzz\u201d who make rounds in the entire country to spread information about the efforts of the government in achieving long-lasting peace.<\/p>\n<p>From Butuan City, they will visit the cities of Davao and Iligan, and lastly, Marawi City.<\/p>\n<p>OPPAP Undersecretary Jojo Andot said one of their primary goals is to the help the internally-displaced persons \u00a0(IDPs) who remain in temporary shelters in Iligan city and other parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith us are the internally-displaced persons and families from Marawi and Lanao del Sur in celebrating our love for the country through our advocacy of long-lasting peace,\u201d said the undersecretary.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8ihupyy8wwk\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One of the benefits provided by the representatives of OPPAP to the IDPs is \u201csocial healing package\u201d which includes offering them a livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>OPPAP also vowed to help them prepare to return to Marawi the moment the turmoil in the war-torn city ends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot just on socioeconomic aspect, livelihood, basic services, but also getting ready to become\u2026to strengthen their institutions, because our learning is that our communities are not strong, that they will be able to resist or even inform authorities that there is threat entering the city,\u201d said Andot.<strong>\u00a0\u2014 Leslie Longboen | UNTV News &amp; Rescue<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA, Philippines \u2014\u00a0The local government of Butuan City gave recognition to the peace advocates that represent the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPPAP) at the Guingona Park on September 27.
