Leonor Briones is a Professor Emeritus of Public Administration at the National College of Public Administration & Governance (NCPAG) of the University of the Philippines –  Diliman.  She was also a former national treasurer of the Philippines from August 1998 to February 2001, former vice president for Planning and Finance of the University of the Philippines System, and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Silliman University.
