Another Left-leaning Duterte-appointee, Judy Taguiwalo was nominated by the National Democratic Front (NDF) to head the DSWD. Taguiwalo is a staunch advocate of women’s rights and empowerment. She helped organize Malayang Kilusan ng Kababaihan, a militant women’s organization. Taguiwalo currently serves as a full professor at UP’s College of Social Work and Community Development.
